Dr. Callahan obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Therapy from Canada’s acclaimed Concordia University. Upon graduation, she was recruited by the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Callahan completed her externships at the Veteran’s Hospitals of Los Angeles and Loma Linda. Her first year of residency training included primary podiatric medicine and orthopedics at the Catholic Medical Centers of Brooklyn and Queens. Dr. Callahan went on to study surgery at the Wyckoff Heights Medical center, an affiliate of the Cornell Weil Medical School.
Dr. Callahan is one of a handful of Podiatrists in New York State to be certified by both the American Board of Primary Podiatric Medicine and Orthopedics as well as the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She also holds the titles of Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery as well as a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Currently, in addition to her busy private practice, Dr. Callahan was a clinical attending at the Wyckoff Heights Medical Center from 2000-2018. She enjoys instructing residents in Podiatric Medicine as well as the latest surgery techniques. Dr. Callahan is a member of the medical advisory board of the Queensborough Community College.
Dr. Callahan is fluent in both Russian and French and her dedicated staff is able to handle several other languages making it possible to treat a wide variety of patients.
